Aviation Professionals
Aftercare Program

Our Aviation Professionals Aftercare Program supports pilots, air traffic controllers, and other aviation professionals while meeting the requirements of the HIMS program. We understand the complexities of addiction recovery, the expectations of the FAA, and the stress involved in returning to work. Our program offers aftercare group therapy, individual therapy, and couples/family services.

We recognize that admitting you need help can feel overwhelming and often carries a deep sense of shame. Navigating the HIMS program can add to that stress — the "checklist" of requirements can feel daunting. At Planting Seeds Recovery, we are well-versed in the entire process: from treatment, to working through the necessary steps, to submitting your packet, to eventually requesting a step-down from the program. Many people feel overwhelmed at the start, but find confidence and support through their work with our therapists and their peers in the group.

With years of experience working with aviation professionals, we are committed to making sure you feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout the process. We work hard to keep group topics fresh, engaging, and relevant to your world. Our goal is to create a safe space where you can reconnect with yourself and the people in your life in a way that feels fulfilling.

We intentionally keep our group sizes small, with 6–10 participants, to foster meaningful connection and discussion. Each session features new content — you won't find a cycling curriculum or repeated material here. We believe group therapy offers a real-world environment to share experiences, explore new ways of relating, and better understand how emotions impact the way we show up in life.

Our groups follow a casual, discussion-based format with explorative questions and facilitated conversations. Our facilitators are passionate about group therapy, and you’ll feel their support and enthusiasm as you navigate the process.
